Apricot Oil
Pressed from the oil-rich kernels of apricots- this hypoallergenic oil is reputed to soothe inflammation, enhance skin conditions, and relieve pain, if applied directly to sore muscles or joints, or aching temples.
The main chemical constituents of Apricot Kernel Oil are Omega 9 (Oleic Acids), Omega 6 (Linoleic Acids), Omega 3 (Alpha-Linolenic Acid), Stearic Acid, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E.
Oleic Acids (Omega 9) - boost immunity, have anti-inflammatory properties (alongside Omega 6 and Omega 3), are potently antioxidant and support aging.
Stearic Acid is known to have exceptional cleansing properties and promote softer skin.
Vitamin A is known to support aging skin, stimulating cell regeneration, lighten blemishes and be nourishing to skin prone to acne.
Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that slow aging and boost circulation – repairing and regenerating scarred or blemished skin. It is deeply cleansing and balances oil production.
Combined with Essential Oils
Peppermint oil has antimicrobial properties that act as an effective natural element to combat acne; cleansing skin and unclogging pores.
Lavender oil has proven antibacterial properties, and in killing bacteria, it may prevent and heal acne. Lavender oil is non-comedogenic, meaning that it will not clog pores.
Ylang Ylang oil is thought to promote relaxation and boost mood (influencing serotonin release).
